Eat your vegetables!

First time we saw the hatchlings get big pieces of veggies. In this case it is a chokeberry (aronia); we have a big bush close to the nest, so easy for the parents.


The first extra shows that there is still some pink skin visible, especially the neck and breast/shoulder. But they still have a week or so before take-off, so a lot of time ....

The second extra is just a close-up of one of both (I believe this is the weaker one, the strong one is usually at the left side). A cute little fellow.

By the way, the wind of the last day or two made it difficult for me to get good pictures, too many leaves and branches between lens and nest.
