Sky Lounge

Met Mr B (after tennis - 4 days this week - his poor long-suffering knees) at our small, but perfectly formed, John Lewis At Home. Looking to replace my elderly iMac which will no longer be supported soon.

Then lunch chez M&H who presented us with an amazing vegan fritto misto (aubergine, courgette flowers, sage). Sat on their balcony with lovely distant views. Opposite to the right, the latest new build has this extraordinary glass enclosed ‘lounge’ high up on the flat roof!

Later popped up to ‘G’ to fetch a sourdough and 2 types of Biltong and a South African sausage. Not sure Mr B is enamoured with it. I devoured a koeksister (a traditional Afrikaner confectionery made of fried dough infused in syrup or honey). Now that was delicious and no doubt calorific (reminded me of a rum baba)
