NEW SHOPS, NEW TOYS

the wife ordered begged me to take her to Leeds after I 'd finished work today so I dutifully drove through the rush hour traffic into the centre of this fine City, I don't go as often as I did when we lived in Harrogate, Ilkley seems just a bit more of a journey, but over the last ten years it's been fascinating to see how the sky scape had changed, I like the contrast between the old & the new, it seems to have given Leeds a new lease of life, I'm wandering so back to my story.
After a boring enjoyable three quarters of an hour in some fashion shop or another ( she only went in to make a return) I suggested we visit Trinity Shopping Centre as its new and we were only across The street from it ( my beloved ain't much of a one for walking), what a surprisingly nice place it is, light, airy & due to today's breezy conditions cold, plenty of coffee shops to keep us males content as our loved ones spend our money, tonight though the shoe was on the other foot as I took an executive decision & purchased an ipad, some of the shine went off when the little lady found out how much it costs, I tried to explain that it was the 'handbag' of the modern man about town & that I've never refused her went she needed a new designer accessory , waste of time and I'm sure she'll start talking to me again by Sunday!
Anyway, it's late so I best post this and get off to bed but like most big boys I just know I'll be playing with my new toy most of the night.
