Water Lilies at the RUH...

Yesterday: a day of medical dramas (GP useless, hospice nurse brilliant) culminating in an ambulance and mum being admitted to A&E at 6.30pm, very poorly. Taken to ward 11.30pm, home by 12.30am by taxi for me. Very kind neighbour holding the fort at home throughout.

Today: lift to hospital from another kind neighbour while family friend took care of things at home. No sign of consultant who was meant to meet me, was told he would phone instead; 9pm and still waiting for that call. C has caused major infection. If mum responds to antibiotics there is time, if not... Home by bus. Large glass of wine. Exhausted.
