Old Faithful…

My ‘fallback fungus’ - once again growing like mad in the woods!

I love this stuff - you don’t need a macro lens as it is so big (the large ‘plate’ in this shot is 20cm diameter or 8 inches in old money).

I managed a focus stack today - using just three shots out of a sequence of ten to make this image. I have added an extra of another group of this fungus - just a metre away on the same log. That is also a focus stack - using four shots.

Apart from ‘playing’ with my camera in the woods I haven’t done a right lot!!
