The pour

The kayak hand-built by the Ards Man is set up for an epoxy resin pour into the ends.

This build has been momentous! I think it has taken almost a year. The AM certainly wouldn’t earn much if he was doing this for a living! It has been a labour of love, though, with great care and attention to detail being taken throughout.

As you can see, it’s good that he hasn’t demolished the gazebo yet! The plan had been to stand the kayak on end against the fir tree (which you can see on the far left), but I guess there wasn’t enough height underneath the branches.

Hopefully the fine weather will hold to allow the resin to harden.
