La Boqueria

Day 3 in Barcelona: Today was filled with more walking and tourist attractions and we were lucky that we didn't get rained on. Half the fun of being a tourist is walking around and taking everything in visually, so of course no time could be wasted on the metro. We planned to go to Sagrada Familia, but the line was too long already at 10:30am. Instead we went grocery shopping for dinner tonight and got coffee, and then we set out for the day with a new to-do list. We walked down to the Arc de Triomf and through the park and the zoo. We found an import store that sold spices in bulk, so we bought coconut milk and spices to make Indian curry for Mark and Anna for dinner. We went to the Picasso museum, where we miraculously waited only 15 minutes to get in; the line was all the way around the block by the time we got out! After we strolled through the Old City and I found some high-end vintage shops to go into... tried on Chanel, Hermes, and Blahnik shoes... bought nothing. Spencer, bless his heart, came with me and gave me lots of opinions, like a soldier! By this time, our feet were starting to hurt, so we decided to walk through La Boqueria, the famous market in Barcelona where I took this photo of girls at a fruit stand, and walked down La Rambla almost all the way home. Since being a tourist is so exhausting, we spent the rest of the evening at home having dinner with Mark and Anna and skyping our respective parental units about their trip to Prague next week. Another blissful day is Barcelona.
