Sapped

This poor tree was only planted in February, but on closer inspection, it is in fact steadily dying in the heat. It's in an awkward place, on land that technically doesn't belong to me, so there's not really any way of watering it. Not sure whether to just slosh a bit of water from a bottle over it or whether that would really help?
