Ouchie

It seemed as though the world is boiling with fury today it was so hot. 32 degrees in my classroom to be exact. We've had to keep them in all day for over a week, with no windows and doors allowed to be opened. I complied, but then every hour I thrust open the classroom door in protest, only to find it was like Backdraft, and reluctantly closed them. It's far too hot to be at school.

I was out of class doing some planning for September, but they sent out a text saying that they could be collected from 2pm due to the heat. Cue absolute carnage and a frenetic afternoon dismissing children one by one. My TA was just a little bit frazzled....

It was still so hot, even though there were a few drops of rain and it turned cloudy by 6pm. I had a nap. My appointment was cancelled, so I headed home for a cool bath and a night in front of the telly. I was rushing to get my bins out as the rain finally started, and in doing so managed to bang the thing into my ankle. It smarted, so I knew I'd bashed it, but then I saw blood.... It's not massively practical to have the bins resting nine steps below street level really...
