One man went to mow....

100 odd acres of grass,in the rain
Typical,it's been a heat wave for the last week,as soon as the contractor turns up to start the silage,it rains .
By tonight we have had 18mm,much needed,but frustrating all the same. We are hoping to chop tomorrow,weather and road works being the main obstacles .
Spent the morning rodeoing cows and calves in to wean them . The cows go in one shed,the calves in another,and we shut them in for a week until they stop roaring for one another. Hopefully the water supply will survive both here and next door.
Filled up all our own tractors with diesel tonight ,as no doubt the silage team will drain out tanks tomorrow...
