I had to go for an appointment by Marble Arch, so I took the train to Victoria and walked over via St. James's Park (to see the Ross'sling, of course). I had a jolly time there, then walked up through Mayfair which felt like a trip into a parallel universe where the rules are different! I enjoyed my brief excursion, and felt relieved on returning to my plane of existence (where instruments and duckules seem much more worthwhile than Cartier and Louis Vuitton).
