Light A Penny Candle

I returned The Paris Library yesterday, loved it by the way, and selected Light A Penny Candle by Maeve Binchy as my 4th book from the Short Loan Collection. 

This is a brand new copy of a book that was the author's first novel, forty years ago this year.

This reprint contains an introduction by Tom Hanks, who apparently was a big fan after reading this very story.

I don't think I have ever read a Maeve Binchy book before so I'm quite looking forward to getting sucked into the story line.
