Four Humbugs

This grebe managed to hatch four grebette on her nest in the middle of Dishley Pool. Assuming it's a She. Her partner was nowhere to be seen. The partner usually brings food.

It's two weeks since I posted a photo in my extras of the grebe tending her eggs on a nest in the middle of the pool.

She/He was carrying three humbugs on his/her back with the fourth swimming behind. They should be relatively safe in the middle of the pool unless a corvid picks them off.
