View from Laira Bridge towards the sea

Today was the last official service for Music Ministry to sing at before the summer break so we went out on a bang! Sang a Herbert Howells anthem and Dear Lord and Father of Mankind during communion!

We had all been invited to a get together at one of the choir members houses! Since I hadn’t had breakfast I went to Waterstones for a coffee and to do wordle and look at blip. I was intending to get the bus but missed it by 20 seconds so I decided to walk! Hence the picture from the laira bridge which I crossed on my way to the house! Fortunately it was not raining, just cloudy and a bit heavy! However I was very pleased with my time and it sorted out my steps for the da and gave me a good appetite for lunch!

I was close to the destination when I completely lost the plot. I think I must have walked backwards and forwards past the entrance lane three times! Rescued by one of the girls who came to move her car to a parking place by the bungalow!

Also fortunately I was offered a lift back home which I accepted! For grace we sang a round which we learnt on the Friday practice. The weather cleared up and became warm and sunny till about 14.30 when it became overcast and the desserts were brought out in the kitchen so it was easy to change seats to indoors!

It was a joy to have time to sit down and chat which we don’t really have time for during practice!
