Beach weekend 1

Barely home and then away again.  And as usual it took a while to actually go.  I went with WH to Ben's for the food shopping but we had to go to 3 other shops in Publika for things on #1 son's list and a new water bottle for me (RM5.90, Daiso) then petrol on the way home.  Then we still had to pack the girls' stuff and the kitchen stuff and eat so it was after 1 before we finally left. #1 son was grumpy as usual but then he doesn't do much/anything to help.

He was driving though but there was a lot of traffic on the road to Port Dickson, which is just north of Melaka.  WH's estimate of an hour was very optimistic.

Our Airbnb was interesting.  Clearly been a lovely semi circular development overlooking the marina with pool and tennis court.  However, it is now severely run down and broken. So Malaysian.  But the pool was still working and we had it to ourselves for over an hour.  We were on the final approach to KLIA and I had great fun plane spotting. 

The house is 3 stories with 3 bedrooms and plenty space.  Mattresses on the floor but AC and fans.  #1 son barbecued.  We had loads of food and beer and the wine I bought.  Only Olivia and I had chocolate bananas though.  There was tv too but I was happy to go to bed just after 10.  

The terrace of houses appears to be mainly empty.  So weird and such a waste.  In other countries this would be a desirable location. 

Today was Mum's 97th birthday and she was taken out for afternoon tea by #3 son and #1 gf.  Connection issues went it was not possible to speak to her.  I'll catch u when I'm back.
