Across the pipeline path

Left the house at Fidelis Ave just after 0900, to get back so S could finish the birthday cake for daughter C (see the extra). I was able to successfully complete the puzzles I do (Guardian cryptic, Wordle and Quordle) before lunch. 

Read the Guardian Long Read about the Oxford PPE degree, and the link with politicians, and politics in general. Fascinating, and worrying that it almost seems as though the graduates with this degree are almost interchangeable.

Mid-afternoon I went for a walk along the lower pipeline and back. Heard and saw some birds, but the fascinating sight was the leafless secondary trunk of a tree covered in bright green presumably parasitic plants.

Went to C's for an early dinner with cake, and she was given presents. A lovely evening.
