I see no ships!

Several years ago, during one of the worst winter storms we’d ever had, one of nextdoor’s feral cats got stuck near the top of our ginormous chestnut tree - must have been about forty feet up. The RSPCA said that despite the weather, they couldn’t do anything until it had been up there for six days so we spent the best part of a week unsuccessfully doing everything we could to coax it down in the wind, sleet and snow. We finally called the fire brigade, who sprayed it with a hose and it came down straight away, very bedraggled but generally OK after its ordeal… and it even made the local news!

So, you can imagine my horror when my son came running in from the garden today, shouting ‘COCO’S CLIMBED A TREE!’.
