Happy Birthday!

First thing was breakfast with the girls and Mum collected them for swimming! 

Our daughter’s birthday is next Wednesday so we went over to Wales to celebrate with them! We had a wonderful day!  

When we arrived we had an orange and almond cake I had made but no one , apart from me, liked it! It is a very moist cake and I had made it as a moderately low calorie cake.  Later brought it home and gave some to my son and daughter-in-law but they didn’t like it either! This is the recipe!

Then we went for our meal at ‘Just Steak’ in Mold! Beautiful steak! I apologise to non meat eaters! And back to their place for a dessert! Lots of different little cakes with lots of chocolate!  Also delicious!  A really great time with them, so much laughter and it was so interesting to hear how our son-in-law was doing in his work and how LinkedIn worked etc etc!  

We arrived home in time to see the end of the women’s Euros France v Netherlands. Now it’s extra time.   France up 1 thanks to a penalty before the end of extra time!
