A view from the top

Wow, what an amazing evening it's been, after a rather busy Friday, yet again. We were invited to the Hong Kong Banker's Club, which is run by the Peninsula, for a wine pairing dinner which turned out to be fabulous, beyond our expectations.

We certainly ate and drank well!!! And then some more. It was pretty decadent. I took a few pics of our meal but what really excited me was the view! We were on the 43rd floor of Gloucester Tower in the Landmark, looking out to Central and across the harbour. Here in this pic is THE HSBC headquarters! Beside it, the Standard Chartered Bank, behind the HSBC bldg is the very famous Bank of China tower. At the time of taking this picture, the laser light show was half way through, so the buildings are illuminated for the show. The light show is held every night at 8pm, not to be missed if you are ever visiting. We usually watch the show from the Kowloon side of HK.

Lovely evening ... now my bed is calling me !!!
