Today's Project

We spent four hours putting our new swing together.  We were in the shade of our big Maple tree, but it was still hot!  When we finished and went inside, our outdoor thermometer said 97.  Anyway, it looks good and the frame seems sturdy, but I'm disappointed in the quality of the awning and cushions.  I'm afraid they aren't going to last in our bright sunshine and the awning doesn't seem like it will be waterproof.  I guess we'll see.  I just ordered a cover for it to keep out the worst of the weather.  At least it's comfortable. :-)

Working outside in the heat wore us out and we haven't done much of anything else.  I had good intentions to catch up on your journals but once we finished the swing, I took a cold shower and sat in my recliner and listened to my book with my eyes closed.  I'll do better tomorrow!
