Rose of Sharon

I photographed this Rose of Sharon (Hibiscus syriacus) flower just after some much needed rain. It is abnormally dry here this month, and we are beginning to see the effects of a drought. The water level of the river running through my local park is extremely low, and many lawns are turning brown. There is a chance for more showers and thunderstorms this weekend. I hope we get more rain.
