Apples of my eye

We had some rain this afternoon - hooray! It wasn’t very much - boo. It gave me a blip - hooray! I was at the allotment and got wet and muddy - boo. We had fresh beetroot, home grown tomatoes and lettuce in the salad - hooray!

Our visitors began their long trek back to Forres this morning. Quiet here now the little dynamo has gone. They’re not travelling all the way up in one go. An overnight stop in Newcastle and then with family in North Berwick.

We walked into town after they left and enjoyed a coffee at Waterstones. The coffee art on the froth was a joy to behold and was almost my blip.

We’re disappointed to find the little jewellers we regularly went to has closed. Surprised to find the shop we get free hearing aid batteries for Doreen from has closed and it’s replacement is only open on Tuesdays and Wednesday’s from 10.00 - 12.00. A lady working there kindly gave us some batteries despite it being a Friday
