The Queen’s Baton Bearer

The baton for the Commonwealth Games, which opens in Birmingham next week, passed through a few Worcestershire towns today, Broadway- Pershore - Upton on Severn- Malvern en route to Worcester. Here is one of Pershore’s carriers (a local well known gentleman ) passing the end of Broad Street. It was all rather jolly, lots of friendly police outriders, sunshine , great turnout and good atmosphere.
As a bonus my son popped in on his way from Barton on Humber to Dorset. Lovely to see him and catch up in person <3
