St arrived for a couple of hours planting this morning but by the time he’d had coffee and I listened to his tale of ho badly he had coped during the heatwave ( combination of asthma and weight I think), we didn’t have that much time. We planted all the hydrangeas though. I had too many really as I had bought six for the border along the path to the front door but then decided it was too hot for them there. The flowers are dying so not very photogenic but they should be lovely next year.
The builders were cutting limestone slabs for my new steps. It was a horrid noise, so I went over to Js to put some stuff in his garage for Je who is buying the little house, and do a bit of planting in his garden. It was lovely weather for being outside so I stayed a bit longer than I planned. By the time I got home (via homesense) the builders had gone and I have a nice new set of steps. They look a bit harsh at the moment but once I have planted around them I think they will look good
