Thanks to your responses to my request for recommendations last week, I am the new owner of a pair of Lowa shoes. And they fit perfectly, just as the seller told me they would.

I am impressed by the bumph which came with the shoes in which I am urged to return the shoes to the seller if I have any problems in “the first six years”. Given how much I paid for them, this seems reasonable.

I took them for an inaugural spin at Bortons Pond this afternoon where they performed exactly as I’d hoped on our 2+ hour walk.

Particular thanks to esiuol and iaint who drew my attention to Lowa. I’d not heard of them before.
