Newton Caged
D T Whiteside said that Sir Isaac Newton was caged by the imperfect brilliance of Philosophiæ Naturalis Principia Mathematica and that it possibly contributed to his breakdown in 1993. However, when Newton died they found large amounts of mercury in his body, which would probably have resulted in 'eccentric' behaviour. Anyhow, Newton Caged was the idea behind the blip.
