Hot Wind Blows

The lake was very choppy today in the wind. I opted for a long exposure to smooth out the water and show some movement in the reeds. I tried a number of shots from 8 seconds up to 4 minutes and plumped for this one at 40 seconds. It shows some detail in the reeds and retained a little in the water, and it produced a wonderful texture.

I find I can shoot in b&w in bright sunlight where it would not produce a decent image in colour. Instead the image is about shape, form and textures.
