Walking Wombat

Sunrise Sunset

We woke to a spectacular sunrise while camped at the golf club in Kerang in Victoria (see Mauzee’s journal) and ended up in Robe looking out on the Southern Ocean as the sun set.  It was a magical day as we visited little towns that are legendary in Australia.  Dimboola is an example.  Most Australians know about Dimboola Weddings.  It was a move produced in the late 1970’s starring Max Gillies.  Putting it simply, we had an absolutely fabulous day and topped it off with a spectacular sunset on the cliffs at Robe a seaside village about 4 hours south of Adelaide.  We have wanted to visit the town after seeing it featured on the ABC’s documentary Back Roads.  Well let me tell you it didn’t disappoint.  Robe is just magnificent and we are going to spend many hours tomorrow walking around this wonderful seaside town. I’m going to put my drone up in the morning as I am legally able to do so and hopefully I will be able to post an image tomorrow on my journal.
