Carol: Rosie & Mr. Fun

By Carol

2022 Tuesday — An Hour Before Sunset

After dinner this evening Mr. Fun & I and the pups headed outdoors. We drove the 4+ miles to Morro Bay to walk the pups in Tidelands Park. They really don’t walk like you and I think of walking. They sniff and squat. Occasionally they bark at another pup, but you’d have a tough time convincing me that they are “walking.”

Then we put the pups back in the car and I started the stopwatch in my cellphone and started walking the Morro Bay Embarcadero to the north end. Because it was after 7:00 p.m., the tourist population was nill and that made my trek a little easier. I walked past several motels on my way — Estero Inn, Gray’s Landing, the Inn at Rose’s Landing, Anderson’s Inn — all with their “No Vacancy” signs illuminated and busy with summer vacationers. The restaurants were full, and most of the souvenir shops were closed.

While I was walking, I viewed lots of the harbor. I was especially pleased with this photo of the ramp to the side tie dock and the reflections on the water.

Mr. Fun and the pups were waiting for me in our vehicle at the other end of the Embarcadero in the Tognazzini’s Dockside Restaurant parking lot. It took almost 24 minutes to get there, so I think I accomplished my 30 minutes of walking today and I found it to be more enjoyable than I had imagined.

Good night from
