Off to his last day in Education ever!!!

Quite an emotional day as his time in Education hasn’t been plain sailing. Fighting for his place at the independent special school in the first place, a few episodes of fighting with the independent special school for not meeting his needs, frequent fighting for safe transport (ie competent staff then suction trained staff) to get him there. He was going three times a week mostly me doing it, 76 miles each day which takes four to five hours. Then 18 months off due to covid. He could have gone back after second vaccination but by that time his competent support staff were working with other students so weren’t available for him to have. So all in all an emotional day. However it finished well as we met up with friends from school/college and celebrated his graduation picnicking in St Mary’s Lighthouse car park!
