Libraries ain’t what they used to be!!!

I am a big fan of libraries these days! Worcester Library , in ‘The Hive’ ,is no exception and is an amazing place for children!
For the younger child there are ‘tunnels’ under colourful boxes containing books. Today they had a ‘stay and play’ for preschool aged children. There was a marvellous array of
toys, games and crafts for them
to explore . The varied programme of activities offers something for every child and parent.
The whole environment is colourful with bean bags, poofs , and benches and chairs for seating. How different from my childhood memories of ‘the expected silence and seriousness’ whilst selecting a book!!
Blip shows my grandchild disappearing into one of the said tunnels!! He had a great time!
