Skyrian Pony

The Skyrian Horse is a breed of miniature horse found on the Greek Isle of Skyros. According to The Skyros Island Horse Trust there are about 200 of these horses on the planet and for a number of years there have been two summer visitors to one of the fields just beside the Cambo visitors centre.

The notice beside the field describes the ponies as cheeky and with a tendency to bite. I just find them rather curious and friendly.

With the temperature being more bearable today it was ideal for a trip to Cambo Estate and a walk round the wonderful walled garden.
