An Orkney Dawn

Awoke at 3.00 a.m. and spent some time pondering about crush free linen.  It allowed for an early Blip. The later morning was spent taking shrub cuttings for two orders from outwith the Parish.

A good outcome later when I went to collect my Mum for an outing to Creel HQ.  She hasn’t been very positive recently and had become almost entrenched in the Care Home.  However, recently she said she’d noticed a loose tile in the shower.  She has managed to smuggle a tea spoon out of the dining area and her and Big Aggie are working on a tunnel.  Therefore it was a boost today when she came to inspect: the garden (named many of the perennials)  the Bothy - she was amazed how well fitted out it is (she didn’t comment on the shortage of whisky) and then drank plenty of tea.   Her geography is slipping though as she thought we only stayed three miles from the Care Home.  I told her it’s 14.  I couldn’t resist in updating her about the price of diesel.  She retorted that she once sailed round the world on a ha'penny.

An update has been requested:  Blanche is away from her desk (unblocking a drain in Manchuria) and Desmond is searching for a missing dog in Hobart.

Desmond has become not unalike the 1856 British Guiana 1-cent Magenta "Black on Magenta" stamp in my collection.  Gradually he has become unhinged.
