Brave Little Petunia
The petunias and violas in this flower box are looking a bit ragged in the heat, but still trying bravely to adorn the drive in to the estate. Today’s heat is much more bearable than yesterday’s and there is a refreshing breeze cooling things further.
If yesterday was not a day to travel, then today is shaping up the same way.
My Granddaughter and her husband were meant to get on an LNER train at 2pm in King’sCross and arrive in Edinburgh at 6:30pm and the LNER website tells me this train is on time. The reality is that at 3:15 she still had not boarded but because she is 5 months pregnant the station staff have allowed them to sit on a train going to Stirling but stopping in Edinburgh on the way. There are no further details as to when this train will depart KX or arrive in Waverley.
I sympathise with how she must be feeling in this heat with a 4hour+ journey in front of her probably in a packed train, but luckily with a seat.
