To scan or not to scan

Up early to take Ruben to the referral unit to see about an MRI or not. He was the best behaved dog ever. Such a good natured, calm and amenable boy. Upshot of the visit is that he is now booked in for a CT scan after we come back from holiday. He has been much better and hasn't done any foot/leg lifting for a week or so now. He even ran across the gravel this evening. However there is something going on which will need to be addressed at some point. The vets there - Pierre and Marie - were lovely. Very through and calming.

Home by 10.30 so did some reading. Tried outside for nearly an hour but couldn't manage longer. Thankfully our house is incredibly cool, downstairs at least. They knew what they were doing in the 18th century. Not sure we have a clue what we are doing in the 21st. There is obvious climate change and seeing a couple of fires breaking out in Dartford was really quite shocking. This is something we can all address.

A massive shift to veganism may not be sufficient to avert climate catastrophe but, as a practical matter, it is certainly necessary. Adopting a vegan diet is the one thing we can all do right now. It does not involve any technological innovation, legislation or government regulation. And it's much easier than you may think.
