I told you not to wear your contacts to the beach

Surprise find on the beach at Pea Island- short billed dowitchers , an occasional willet and several sanderlings ( finally ). Kayak tour this AM was a good paddle but not good birding. And we all snacked so much we didn't go for ice cream tonight. Drat.
