Great Expectations

I happened upon another very interesting programme on Radio Four today.   'The Expectation Effect.'   A series of short (15 minute slot filler) discussions around how our expectations can influence our wellbeing, emotional and physical.  How strong, conscious and subconscious, our minds are, for good and bad in our lives.   Today's episode was titled 'A Pious Fraud', looking at the placebo effect, interesting how the way we respond to situations, our beliefs, can have a placebo effect with more benefits than we might imagine.

Another hot day although the temperature outside has slowly fallen this evening.  Still a good laundry day, taken advantage of.   We are going away for a few days from tomorrow so as the heat receded we planned and packed.  Plants watered, dog walked, siesta taken!

Another Kohleria, this one 'Jester' has flowers that hang down on long pedicels, a good plant for a high shelf in the porch.
