This morning the nearest rose was a bud. By afternoon it was fully open and becoming more pink.
This morning the sun rose just after 5 with very similar colours to the rosebud.  The rest of the day it was cloudy which, with a few drops of rain. helped to make the unusually hot temperature of 29c more bearable.  As I write it is now a very pleasant 19c outside with a breeze now wafting through the open windows. 
Parts of England reached 40c and Scotland saw a new record of 34.8c   (Although several parts of Scotland remained below 20c all day)  The evidence of climate change is very apparent with devastation throughout the world.
