Scrubbed not bashed…
New potatoes are on the menu for tomorrow’s community lunch so no peeling done this evening. Just of the carrots, parsnips and butternut squash. Roast pork mains and strawberries and cream for dessert.
It really was too hot to even sit in the garden today. I had plenty to do this morning, wearing my social secretary hat for one of the schools I taught at. We want to have a special summer picnic this time to celebrate the years we had with our head teacher who passed away at the beginning of March. So emails and letters written to confirm the date.
This evening a storm threatens and there’s quite a wind. We’ve taken down the gazebo in case it takes off from its moorings. It’s done a grand job recently!
