Today's the day ................... for the Skatepark

The girls had brought their scooters with them this week, so a visit to the Kirkcudbright Skatepark was a must.

The Skatepark began as a project led by Mr McClure's P5/P6 class at Kirkcudbright Primary School in 2014.  With the support of teachers, parents, the wider community and local businesses, Kirkcudbright Skatepark SCIO was founded - and by 2016, plans were put in place to design and build a community-owned skatepark in the town.

After years of fundraising, securing grants and sponsorship, the site was completed in July 2021 ....................
