Fledgling Swallow
We were back up at the stables early to get Meg in from the field before it got too hot. By 10 am it was already over 30 deg C. We went better prepared today with books to read and chairs to sit in. A warm breeze got stronger as the morning went on but it only had the effect of drying out Meg more quickly after we hosed her down.
I took a short walk around the stables and came upon this fledgling swallow, taking refuge in the rafters of one of the other stables. Other than that when we were finished we headed home and found the coolest room in the house and stayed there for the rest of the day.
