First Tomatoes (just as we depart)

We awoke early so we hopped up and finished our last few items on the list. My onions are laid out in the basement, flower pots all in line with auto watering, trash dumped, birdbaths and hummingbird feeders filled, inside plants watered, last load of laundry done, etc. Hubby helped. My first Roma tomatoes are almost ripe. I have offered them to whoever takes care of the kitties. We look forward to that first juicy homegrown tomato but I am happy to share with those being kind. At least they won’t be wasted and there are plenty more. Lauren came by to bring us more Clorox wipes and Wet ones. I think she just wanted a hug; she is concerned about us getting sick on this trip. Kim stopped by to take my extra produce and my begonia that took a beating in last night’s storm. We leave in a couple hours so I will publish my blip way early. I probably won’t have service every day but will upload what I can. Please forgive me for not keeping up with your posts. Stay safe and cool folks. Sounds like we are jumping from the frying pan into the fire as far as temps go. There is also rain in the forecast the day we attend The Passion Play. We brought rain gear so no worries. Thanks for dropping by with stars, hearts and sweet comments. Glad you liked the thrasher. “Care less for your harvest than for how it is shared and your life will have meaning and your heart will have peace.” - Kent Nerburn
