Putting a parking cone on the head of a statue isn't very original, but rescue attempts by lariat is something different.  After a number of unsuccessful throws, the extra picture captured the loop finally hitting its mark.  Cheers from onlookers turned to laughter as the loop floated down over the base of the cone and secured itself around Adam Smith's neck.
You can't win 'em all...
