Hot Dog.

Very sensible little girl....I think!  Not sure exactly what the thinking was about putting  your head under the bed valance.  I laid some wetted towels on recycling bags around the house which were lovely and cool when I walked on them but Ginny didn't take to the idea and walked around them.  All credit to her though because she has been really sensible and just laid around quietly and certainly hasn't panted or appeared distressed at all. 
Followed all the advise which I'm familiar with as a long term attic flat dweller but finally had to break with it and open my door onto the deck.  There was a good breeze blowing and it really felt like the time to have a change of air even though I knew it would be hot air.  I also have a 1st floor landing front balcony and door which helps to circulate "fresh" air,  fresh but not cool.
