Mum and baby...

...moorhens at Blackford Pond. Baby birds are clearly still being born. 

I called in at Blackford Pond after picking raspberries (for the first time - not doing things strictly in sequence while back-blipping. J&M are away and I'm picking their raspberries meantime.)

There are still seven cygnets, a lot bigger of course than when last seen, but not as big as the ones on Craiglockhart Pond.
