Up early

Like me all the bees, butterflies and insects were up early this morning. Since then the garden is very quiet. I have retreated to a cool room with my fan and my book and I’m sure that the insects have found a shady place as well. 39 degrees this afternoon and I’m hoping that this is the last of the very hot weather.
