Sweet

I don't know why this Northern Flicker struck me as sweet.  I think it might have been the way she was so delicately picking up sunflower hearts outside my back door.  Since we're not allowed to have bird feeders I put some of the shelled sunflower hearts in the grass for the ground feeders to find.  Unfortunately, if the Canada geese get here first, they get them.  This time there were enough for the flicker and I just loved the look on her face of pure joy in her discovery.

Mary Jo came by this evening and helped me pick up peanut shells left by errant squirrels.  There was quite a pile of them and now things look pretty neat thanks to her efforts.  I haven't figured out how to get the squirrels to deposit the shells in a bucket or something.  I'll work on it.

I spent the morning getting an echocardiogram which was ordered by my cardiologist.  Not sure what he's looking for but I guess it's a good thing to get periodically.   I had one in 2019.  I've complained of severe fatigue and some shortness of breath so maybe that's what he's looking for.  I think I may have beaten him to the punch though because I did a bit of research on the drugs I'm taking and found that most of them have those two problems listed as side effects.  If my fatigue and breathing problems are the result of side effects I definitely don't want him to give me yet another drug with another set of side effects to deal with. How about taking me off the ones that might be causing the problems in the first place?  We'll be having an in-depth discussion when I see him next week.
