Natures Candle

This Banksia Spinulosa is growing on the side of the driveway and I pass it each day when I walk to the letter box.  I like the complicated flowers of these Australian natives.  I looked down on this but the rest of the shrub has tall burnished flower spikes (extra )
Today is the last day of my country retreat and I fly home from Palmerston North tomorrow.  The forester is staying on until August.  I don't know how he will eat all those eggs on his own.  I want to get back to do the winter garden tasks like rose pruning and back to exercise class.

Circle                 Harry Chapin

All my life's a circle;
Sunrise and sundown;
Moon rolls thru the nighttime;
Till the daybreak comes around.

All my life's a circle;
But I can't tell you why;
Season's spinning round again;
The years keep rollin' by . . .
