Such a Sweetheart

Today we said goodbye to our dear friend, Larry. We took the girls with us to his Mass of Christian Burial at St. Mary's of Piscataway in Clinton. The service was in the old church. The girls were incredibly well-behaved. They especially liked the military honors at the end of the service. They were mesmerized when the trumpeter played taps. 
We are going to miss Larry. He was the very definition of a gentleman.
My granddaughters were all dressed up for the service (they put me to shame.) It was so sweet of my older granddaughter to pose for me while her sister was sleeping.
