Birthday Girl

Poppy is 17 today. She was very patient and waited for me to get home from work before opening her presents and cards. Alfie cleaned and polished the Fiat and put L plates on it for her. It is now officially hers and D took her out for a proper drive in it. She’s got her first lesson on Wednesday.
This evening we all went for dinner at Stazione in Cambridge. It was a lovely meal and the staff were really friendly and made a fuss of Pops.
It’s been a record breaking day heatwise. We had to share our air conditioned classroom with the rest of the school intermittently. They all came over and cooled off before returning to the 30 something degree heat in their own rooms. Hotter tomorrow apparently!
